Beneath the everyday
A lot happens before odor does
Your body is constantly regulating itself. Sweat, saliva, skin bacteria, warmth and airflow are constantly interacting across the body, mostly without us noticing. Under the arms, bacteria transform compounds in sweat secretions into odor.[1] In the mouth, bacterial breakdown can release sulfur-containing gases associated with bad breath.[2] What we group together as “body odor” can begin very differently depending on where it occurs.
Understanding what happens before odor appears is where our approach begins.
